Field Trips

Another way to connect with other homeschool families is field trips.  Before there was a Sankofa Homeschool Collective the Sankofa Community is how we connected.  Sankofa field trips were notorious for huge numbers.  In fact, organizations sought us out because we brought the diversity in BIG numbers.

This is just what happened on the field trip that Mama Jessica organized for Sankofa.  Mr. Hill from the US Forest Service was over the moon to see so many beautiful faces of color.  He said that the US Forest Service is particularly seeking to serve underrepresented communities.  Thanks to Mama Jessica who organized the US Forest Service Agents of Discovery field trip we are now plugged in for some wonderful programs coming down the pike.
